21 Day Racial Equity and Social Justice Challenge

https://www.newschannel5.com/news/ywca-launching-21-day-racial-equity-and-social-justice-challenge-to-continue-discussions-into-july

..."The three week challenge is meant to help participants build more effective social justice habits, particularly those dealing with issues of race, power, privilege, and leadership.

"I am very optimistic that people in this community really want to understand the racial dynamics we're dealing with," said CEO Sharon Roberson. "What this does is gives you that safe space. You can educate yourself at your own leisure. You can do this in the privacy of your own home and you can choose to enter into conversations with people in your broader community."

More than 1,500 people have signed up for the challenge that begins on July 6. Participants will be presented with tasks, such as reading an article, listening to a podcast, reflecting on personal experience and more. The challenges will be sent via email and posted on YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee’s website and social media channels.

“YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee’s mission is eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. We are beyond disturbed that this critical mission remains elusive in our country and ask our community to stand with the YWCA against racism and discrimination of any kind and join us for the 21 Day Challenge," Roberson said."...(more at link)
