New model predicts dramatic covid resurgence in Tennessee

This is truly alarming and I hope it will be a wake-up call

https://www.newschannel5.com/news/newschannel-5-investigates/new-model-projects-dramatic-covid-19-resurgence-in-tennessee

"New projections suggest Tennessee could see a dramatic resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the fall, reaching 100 deaths a day and a total of 3,652 deaths by Oct. 1.

That compares to an average of seven deaths per day right now and a total of 441 deaths so far.

The latest projections, from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington, reflect numbers that have been closely watched by the White House and Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee’s office.
...

The model projects near normal social mobility by the fall.

Gov. Lee and his team indicated this week that their decisions would be dictated by the capacity of hospitals to deal with any surge, rather than the total number of cases and deaths."...(more)

The people are confident seeing the doctored numbers so out they go and the situation gets worse. Texas, Tennessee, etc.

Pukes are such cold hearted bastards. The number one goal here is to prevent cases and deaths. Not "it's ok we can deal, go to the mall people, we have a few more beds ready for you"

It’s a shame there’s no national roundup to show the big picture of how things are heading the wrong way in many places. Say, a coronavirus national task force.

people around here, rural Eastern TN, seem to think it's over. I went to Food City yesterday and I would estimate only 20% of customers were wearing masks. All I could do was shake my head.

We're in for a rude awakening around here.
