Is KCMO a bit more sane than Kansas? It seems Kansas City, MO

and the St. Louis areas are a bit more sane. Are there areas of KCMO that are really red, or is there a mix of red/blue in most of the KCMO areas? We're contemplating a move to a blue area of KCMO. Thanks for any advice.

going to get really really bad for many people IMO. Problem is, many don't seem to get what's going on and the implications for them as they vote red.

but I would avoid eastern Jackson County (Blue Springs & farther east). My district and several around it have sent some real bozos to the state capital.

which includes downtown, Hyde Park and Westport is very blue. There is a Democratic primary with 3 candidates. One is openly gay and works for Planned Parenthood.

I'm supporting Judy Morgan, former KC Teachers Union president. With all of the legislative focus on the KC Schools, I think a legislator with education experience is a must. Judy is also the incumbent.

But there can't be many other Democratic primaries like this in the country. And certainly not in Kansas.

Cass County (Pleasant Hill, Harrisonville, etc), and even Johnson County, MO. (I know-I live there.) Independence isn't too bad-it's not blue-blue but it's a nice shade of purple, which is livable.
