The U.S. Military gave a 3 hour test to 20,549 kids in Missouri high schools last year under the guise of a career exploration program and used the results for recruiting purposes without parental consent. (1,951 posts)When my husband was a sophomore in high school more than ten years ago, they used class time to administer the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). As the future class valedvictorian, of course he did well, and recruiters hounded him from then until graduation, trying to get him to join.

(2,135 posts)when I was in high school about a decade ago (wow...) and I forget exactly how I did, but I certainly didn't have recruiters swarming over me. Probably because I'm horrible at math while good at other things.
