Luckily, the house is a fair bit uphill from there. The neighbors on the other side look like they might be floating for a while.

I'm hoping we avoid the predicted high winds and tornado activity.
My cats have been freaked out and hiding in closets- they need a break.

I still have my legs, my life and my house. Thank God!!! I really feel for the people of Boston, Mass and West, Texas. My prayers are with them.

yesterday about two inches of rain and hail all in 4-5 minutes. at least our soil moisture is back up to normal. now if the weather will stabilize out till fall the crops will be back to normal.

went out in my area to see what was going on and had a hard time navigating the streets--so many blocked off, so many flooded, so many cars floating in the water. thought about trying to make it up to the store and thought naah. maybe tomorrow.
