IATSE Endorses Wendy Greuel for Mayor of Los Angeles.

Just got an email from IATSE endorsing Wendy Greuel. Wondering what DUers think.

You are probably aware that the Los Angeles Mayoral race is in the home stretch. Election day is just a few weeks away. In this election we are fortunate to have a candidate who is a friend of our industry, a champion of labor and worker’s rights, and a true advocate for the IATSE. Wendy Greuel is that person. She has a proven track record, and the knowledge and experience needed to lead the great city of Los Angeles.

Ms. Greuel understands the value of our industry and has worked in government and community affairs at DreamWorks. Her performance in the L.A. City Council and as Controller has demonstrated that she has what it takes to put the people before politics. She also knows that IATSE members are vital to the economy and culture of Los Angeles, and understands the issues that affect us.

Wendy has the unanimous endorsement of the Los Angeles IATSE Local Unions. She has my support as well. I strongly encourage you to vote for Wendy Greuel for Los Angeles Mayor on May 21st.

In Solidarity,

Matthew D. Loeb
International President, IATSE

with a 24 hour news cycle we get no local news ---the ads were the same negative crap probably done by the same crew so we have to dig for clues.

In a town like L.A. its very important who becomes mayor because "tinsel town " hasn't been too tinsely for about 30 years.
