All voters can now get critical updates on their ballots through California’s official “Where’s My Ballot?” tracking tool. Signing up takes less than three minutes!

You can select to receive notifications on the status of your vote-by-mail ballot by text (SMS), email, or voice call, including alerts if there are any issues with your ballot and instructions for how to correct them to make sure your vote is counted.

2. I received the same email and tried 5 times to register just now.

It didn't work for me. That's worrying.

Will try to register again later, but this kind of stuff must operate correctly. Otherwise, a key failsafe in ballot protection will not work. It will also give fodder to Trump to denigrate the results of the election.

Have tried 2 more times, and now I'm getting a red error message at the top that says "Oops! Something went wrong...."

That is not exactly giving me confidence.
