Since I live in the Bay Area, I'm somewhat used to high taxes...

But it would be so worth it to live in this magical little house!!

It's pricey living in Scotland, I've read...

But this place is so idyllic, it would be worth every penny

"sigh"

except for the over-stuffed couch and chair. Take up too much space.

Beautiful place, totally what I had in mind for retirement.

When I look at magazines that feature houses, I'm invariably put off by the ugliness of the furniture-- everything, really

This... THIS is a beautiful house, inside and out

The photographer had to wait 348 days to catch the weather good enough to take the photos. There is a reason that there are more people of Scottish descent in the US than in Scotland.

My paternal family came from the Highlands. After years of genetic research I discovered that I am descended from a Scottish Viking known as Sven Skull-crusher, which probably explains why I sometimes get an overpowering desire to kill a monk, burn a church, and impale small children on a pike. It is not a character flaw, it is just genetics.

That is a pleasant looking bungalow. I wonder how far it is to Starbucks?

I've been to Scotland twice and it was literally like coming home. The weather suits me fine-- I abhor the heat.

I'll probably never get the chance to go there again, what with all that's happening. but at least I can dream!

I’m of Danish and English extraction. Low 70s is warm enough for me, and here I am stuck in SoCal where it may hit 100° on Thursday. If I could move I would. Even the PNW would be nice.

(and added that I hated summer) and was surprised to find that most of them didn't like hot weather either and that fall was their favorite.
