Arkansas Democrats asking people to tell Nate Bell to really apologize.

I shouldn’t even have to write this email right now.

Unfortunately, Rep. Nate Bell felt compelled to make tasteless and disgraceful remarks through Twitter about the people of Boston regarding the recent tragedy there, saying “I wonder how many liberals spent the night cowering in their homes wishing they had an AR-15 with a high-capacity magazine? #2A”

When asked about the comment, Rep. Bell refused to meet with the press and then issued an apology for the timing of the tweet in question. But this isn’t about timing.

The only words that should be offered to the people of Boston are those of prayer and of support. If you believe Rep. Bell should apologize to Bostonians and retract his tweet immediately, let him know here.

Let’s tell the people of Boston that we stand with them through prayers and support, and not through the comments by Rep. Bell. These comments are tasteless and insensitive and do not represent the people of Arkansas.
