Not the movie, but the one-season-and-done TV series Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Tim is the one in the lower right hand corner, wearing the mustard-colored shirt. Yes, that's River Phoenix sitting next to him.

The series ran, briefly, a few years ago on one of those old TV channels. I managed to tape one episode, but it was great. There's a video of the episode I taped, "Rodeo," on YouTube, but the quality is dreadful. The episode was the eighth one of the 1982-1983 season. It was broadcast on Novembver 3, 1982.
Anyway, here's a bit of it. Yes, that's Hoyt Axton.
