We've had a lot of clouds too, and they are soooo frustrating. But now our skies are much clearer, and I was able to see the moon through the neighbor's trees!

It made me very happy!

The region which has brought some clouds and also pushing about 40% of the smoke off to someplace else. It will be back early next week with more dry heat for a week or so. I actually saw the mountains farther away today, come to think of it, I could see the closer mountains, four miles away, for the first time in a week too. Sun, moon and Venus have been the only heavenly bodies I've seen on some time too and they were all orange. I even saw blue sky for a moment.

I can imagine what it's like on the coast. Much of my family live in the state, all over it, and I have been hearing about it. I hope where you are is clearing up.

I can see the San Gabriel Mountains to the NE of me, and now they are visible again. The smoke from the fires had obscured them completely!

My throat doesn't feel sore today for once. We get all the smoke from CA, NV, OR, WA, ID and Canada as well as those in Montana. Somehow, it all flows through here. Some days I can see high altitude smoke from the fires in Siberia. I track the plumes sometimes, it's amazing how air flows around this planet.

I am thankful that wet weather is moving in, just hope it isn't too much all at once.

I've done some tracking too, and it IS amazing.

We could use some rain, but the wet season hasn't started yet.

Time for me to go to sleep! See you tomorrow...

It sets here a little after 10 PM tonight and the sky is clear. Rain forecast for tomorrow, from the outer bands of the hurricane.

The crescent shape is my absolute favorite.

Sounds like you'll have a great opportunity tonight!
