I recall how difficult it is to capture steam on hot food. It usually requires noxious chemicals to generate fake "steam".
But then food photography has little to do with photography and a lot to do with the food stylist that, once on set, sits at the right hand of God.

Im no food photography specialist, I happened to catch the steam due to sun shining through the window and a lot of dumb luck!
