and it's funny because a point and shoot's limitations (and my lack of experience) are revealed in action shots like this. Not really in focus but it still works

the young man in the background. Is he a student who just arrived to watch the meet, or an athlete whose day is already done? Brings up some questions in my head.

So much fun going to a sporting event with a camera. It makes all the difference in the world. And you certainly had good results with yours.
