4. Being a big hosta fan,

I'm quite amused by "Hosta la vista." They grow wonderfully well here in my cool, shady places (most of my garden).

6. I wish I had a picture of one of those "See Rock City" barns. I'd have submitted it.

If you're not from the South or didn't travel in the South in the 60's/70's you probably don't know what I'm talking about. There's a tourist attraction in TN called Rock City. I don't even know if it's still open. But way back when, they got idea for advertising. They hired a bunch of people to go out and paint the roofs of farmers' barns with a "See Rock City" logo in big bold white block letters. Farmers agreed to it because they got their barn roofs painted for free. Now days many of those barns are dilapidated, falling apart and the See Rock City is fading. It'd be a great photo for this contest.

These would be perfect for this contest. Too bad they're not my pics.

Quick question about the submissions. A couple of them looked like they were either HDR or heavily processed with filters, is that OK now?
