I read and followed your links.

The revocation of posting privileges appears to be deserved.

If talkingmime entered the contest, it does not relate to disruptive posts in my mind.

I do not think disruptive behaviour should affect an entry made to the contest.

Just the way my ole Canuk brain works.

In entering, you commit to hosting the next contest in the event you win.

He can no longer fulfill that obligation.

It's up to the host but that's how I see it.

Happened to me once -

my revocation was in effect for just 12 hours.

Let's just wait - If you looked closely under the transparency thing,

3 of the "offences" were on the same day.

Looks to me like he was having a bad day.

We are a diverse group of over 200,000 people.

Differences are to be expected, and sometimes our tempers get the best of us.

The revocation of posting privileges are a slap on the wrist, a wake-up call if you like,

to settle down.

that's how I see it,

another thing,

If he did indeed submit a picture in there,

and I think it's better than mine,

or anyone else's

I'll damm well vote for it!

Otherwise, Skinner would have banned/tomb-stoned him.

Do they still do the RIP thing?

Anyhoo - he ain't a newbie

I suspect he'll be careful when his privileges are reinstated.

And they will be.

what should we do in this case.
if he were to win he would be unable to host the next contest

do we allow him to entry or not?

The rules state winner agrees to host next contest - a banned member can no longer fulfill that rule. It's not as if it was a member who for other reasons (an emergency of some kind) would be unable to host...he was banned.

Still, you're the host.

to his behavior.

Revocation of posting privileges are temporary.

He is NOT banned.

It would be wrong to refuse his entry.

If he's just temporarily suspended then check before you post the prelims. If he's back in good standing then he should be allowed to participate. Just IMHO.

his posting privileges are revoked.

for how long I have no idea,

but it happened to me - lasted 12 hours

I crossed the line, and got slapped on the wrist for it.

I deserved it.

But I'm still here ain't I?

"The HopeHoops account and the talkingmime account were both banned when they posted sexist/misogynist comments."

Which isn't to say he can't re-register under a new screen name. Still, Skinner used the word banned. So I think that means he was banned.

Chances of him winning are 30 - 1.

Let me give you an idea of how my brain works.

First of all, I do not judge people by what I hear about them, I relate to how they treat me.

Secondly, I've got friends that dislike me listening to Michael Jackson or Lady Gaga because of their lifestyles.

I tell my friends I don't give a shit if they were serial killers regarding my choice in music - if it's good music,

IT'S GOOD MUSIC!!

that's the point I'm tryna make.

Why cut oneself off of beauty because ya don't like the creator??

I just gave the heads up that he had been banned. We've run into the issue before and had to get a last minute replacement. This way everyone knows ahead of time. No surprises.

and if by chance he happens to win and has been banned at that point, then by default the second place entrant can host the next months contest, not really that difficult. Not a fan of arbitrarily excluding people from competing.

this thread may have gotten away from itself.........

Let him post his picture, anonymously like ours.

And, if people like it, they can vote on it.

What is the big deal? If he wins we can then have a poll on whether he can host the next contest.

Simple as that.
