My husband is an avid surfer and surf music was one genre I never thought I'd get into. But while grooving to the Beach Boys years ago, I was like That Bass. And he was like, Oh, that's Carol Kaye. Since then I had to know everything I could about her and been in love with her ever since.

I built a social media platform dedicated exclusively to bassists. I'm really proud of the clever name!

http://bassbook.org

Still needs a lot of work though, and I haven't been very successful at getting many people aware of it. Only so much I can do as a side project in my free time. Coincidentally, I build bass guitar speaker cabinets. In the banner photo on the site, that's Kevin Walker (played for Patti LaBelle, Wilson Pickett, Justin Timberlake, Prince, etc.) testing out one of my more sophisticated and exotic models, that you can see at the bottom with the Salvidor Dali painting on the grille.

I don't know who GlitchSmith is but that is one incredible video. Thought it was just me till I read the responses at YouTube.

Really well done, better, creating spaces from music to gaming (art as far as I'm concerned). It seems you know what you're doing and I hope that you'll attract more followers as time allows

Google knows what it's doing. I'm just good at figuring out the right question to ask it and following the instructions! But thanks, anyway! GlitchSmith, by the way, is one of my Minecraft buddies.

This is the guitar variant of a series of bass/guitar cabs that are stackable with each other.

My logo.

I found that I can get an acoustically transparent mesh on which I can have anything printed using a wide-format plotter.

This is an 18" 3-way configuration, with horns for mid/high, but the cabinet is designed such that the baffle is removable/replaceable, so this cab can be reconfigured as a 1x15, 2x12, or 2x10, in 2 or 3-way configurations. It's also what's called a double-chamber tri-vented enclosure, which produces a truly mind-bending amount of low end. This cab was designed for the single-course 12-string you can see in one of the pics on bassbook.

And a random pic of me playing a friend of mine's 18 string triple-course 6.
Really badly!

that's a lot of amplifiers and my knowledge stops there. Had to FaceTime my niece, a guitarist/bassist, who just completed her first year in in Valencia, Spain at Berklee College of Music, just got accepted into the Music Production and Engineering major. She was giddily responding waay above my head to your equipment dimensions/configurations and stuff. Still couldn't wrap my head around it so I'll just continue listening

Now, Dali I can talk about but niece is going to do the same with her amp because she says that's a double piece of art right there. One day, I'll have my logo and Thank you, better, she says.

Nice pic and love you musicians! Just wonderful.

I'm a music nerd, and I still get mad at how long I was in the dark about her work.

I am glad she's getting her just due while still around for the experience.

(But the R&R Hall of Fame is still pretty much garbage)
