The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI had to share this photo of my dog. Maybe it will brighten someone's day.
My wife took the picture with her iPhone today at a park in San Pedro, California. She sent it to me, and I thought it was beautiful.
I guess it's the green openness behind my smiling pup that makes it.

(34,043 posts)we had a pup who was afraid of the noise the camera made. poor baby. we still had to take her picture. often. & probably too often to suit her.

(205,015 posts)And that may be it, maybe he can hear the camera and I can't. He's fine outside, but outside there are other noises and distractions.

(5,756 posts)I have my Nikko terrier who is pushing 18 now. The smaller dogs do tend to live longer than the larger dogs.
I am a very lucky human because my Nikko is in really good health for his age. About a few years or so ago I bought him a set of steps that allow him to get on and off the bed easily. I wanted to make sure he didn't tear any ligaments or injure himself.
Nikko is the best love I've ever had!
Thanks for posting the pic of your love!

(12,211 posts)and just before her our larger dog passed away, he was about 17. Hard to say because they were both rescues. But he was very healthy to the end.

It's a soccer field, so I guess it has some precedence.

Actually, count me down for two brightened days as my daughter happened to see the pic as I was reading the thread and she loves your dog too.
