(21,020 posts)wonderfully bizarre and horrifying!
White lipstick!
Liquid makeup that had the unfortunate tendency to turn orange in the heat.
Blue eyeshadow.
Black liquid eyeliner.
The 60s...gotta love them.
Sekhmets Daughter
(7,515 posts)My makeup never turned orange...my mother would have scrubbed my face with the same brush she used on the floors!
I used a brown/black liquid eyeliner that had a bit softer look...again if I didn't want my face scrubbed raw...and because I have brown eyes my favorite shades of eyeshadow has always been the purples!
The white lipstick was the only concession to the look! Do you remember when we began outlining it with color? Truly bizarre! Remember your first false eyelashes? Late 60s....

(6,154 posts)Have a nice list But these aren't adolescent turn ons for me as I was too preoccupied with being miserable then, still am actually.
Women wearing men's cloths. Especially formal wear. But their physique still has to stand out.
Medium length skirts, just above the knees. Short skirts are of course sexy but they leave too little to the imagination.
Glasses.
Short hair, depending on the women.
Confidence and assuredness, but not to the point of arrogance or belittling others.
Intelligence.
That sultry look. Kind of vague but I know it when I see it!

(56,828 posts)I was attracted to the girls that wore tight sweaters and tight jeans. Cleavage was a fashion no-no back then in our school, but the snug sweaters would often not leave much to the imagination anyhow.
and, I've always liked girls with glasses as well. Still do to this day.

(426 posts)It had kind of a genie with a turban on the front. It came in a canister, and had lots of writing on the back. Sigh....it's probably not even made in the US anymore. Probably doesn't even smell the same. Is nothing sacred anymore??

(1,569 posts)I did like the heavy make-up look, lots of eyeliner, heavy mascara, generous eyeshadow...didn't care much about the blush or lipsticks, it was all about the eyes.
Actually, I remember obsessing about odd things, like how girls elbows could hyper extend--I thought that was way too sexy. I also liked girls in hiking boots and jeans, but midi skirts and "peasant" blouses could also be devastating. (early-mid 70s).
The reality is that I liked those things because a couple girls I liked wore those things (or had flexible elbows). Those things then became turn-ons.
