Was a matter of funding.
My prescription was so old I got headaches if I wore them too long.
But they almost look the same as my old ones - didn't change the style.
Did it for my eyes sake, had no issues with the appearance of my old ones.

(7,952 posts)I've been wearing glasses since I was 7 years old (the cat-eye period-can't believe I survived that) and in the 70's (high school) I had my light-brown hair parted in the middle with wire-rims and my brother called it my "John Lennon period". LOL

Where to get cheap prescription glasses:
www.goggles4u.com,
www.zennioptical.com
Discount coupons: http://glassyeyes.blogspot.com
I've ordered glasses from both these places before and was totally satisfied. I'm very nearsighted and in bifocals. It's a luxury to have two or three pairs of specs with the same prescription.
