At least according to Starz.
They really try to get other parts pretty much down but they just couldn't leave out the hair jell...

Didn't you know that da Vinci invented hair gel in between painting and war machines.
The rumor is he discovered it after painting the Mona Lisa and running his hands though his hair. Others say it's cannon grease.
This series goes further with poetic license than is even remotely credible. Other than attractive actors and actresses in various stages of undress (which is more than OK with me), it just doesn't have that much to offer. They lost me with the flying artificial raptor a week or so back.

(45,558 posts)Leonardo was a great hero of my formatable years.
I think it will not be watched. Starz did such a great job with the Cathedral Epic a few years back and Magic City is pretty good.

Starz has done an interesting marking thing, though. They have an app that you synchronize with the show. As the show progresses, more info is revealed on various items and people. It's just a gimmick, but a pretty slick gimmick.

Even the original inhabitants of this continent used a form to keep their hair out of their faces. I think it was some form of pine tar
