It looks authentic and, as pop culture street art goes, kind cool to me.

... the edges of Arizona. On the eastern edge, I believe just south of the White Mountains (which
inspired me to buy a motorcycle and ride again), I stopped to see one of the statues commissioned
in 1928 -- "The Madonna of the Trail". There's 12 of them across the country, all looking west except
for the one in California which, I believe, is looking back east.

The sculptor's idea was for a pioneer woman who was waiting for her husband to come back home --
realizing that he was probably in trouble, gathering up her infant and toddler and rifle to go out to
come to his rescue.

It was awe-inspiring and I spent a LOT of time just gazing at it, thinking about her and her many
sisters. It was in an awkward place -- just off the road (which was fine) but at the front of about a
50-yard or so driveway leading to a McDonald's.
.
Didn't distract from the experience for me. though -- it was pretty powerful. That was an incredible
trip through-and-through -- I highly recommend that website in the Subject line.
