As long as I can breathe when I sleep I'm all right.

P.S. I seem to have misplaced my facepalm smiley. If you see it anywhere could you please send it home?

year round rhinitis anyway, so I do nasal rinsing at least once per day.

In the spring/summer comes the added misery of allergies.

They were terrible last year. Absolutely horrible. This past fall I bought some liquid benadryl to try when things get bad.

Otherwise, it's rinse, rinse, rinse.

PS...have not caught a head cold since I started my rinsing regimen, about four or five years ago.

Namely, shooting the pollen with an assault rifle and bombing it with homemade explosives.

Start with this: Washington, DC is built on a swamp and the humidity here is horrendous. I keep a air cleaner going when Spring starts to pop. I do not open my windows (I know, that is sad) because one can see the pollen swirling in the air. I use over the counter allergy medicine everyday and mostly importantly, I keep myself well hydrated and I run a humidifier. My dog has allergies as well, and she suffers too the Spring. The humidifier really helps her itchy skin. She no longer has to take allergy medicine.

Alleclear (Costco brand) non-drowsy tablets. 365 tablets for about $12. They contain 10 mg of loratadine. You need just one a day, however on heavy pollen days, I do take 2.

I keep my lanai, and the furniture and BBQ stuff out there, hosed off so that the pollen doesn't accumulate.

I have script for Nasonex which works pretty well for me.

I had a bad cold in January, and after that no more allergies or nasal stuff.

My breathing has been completely clear ever since.

but I do sneeze a lot. The only annoyance is that my car is covered with the yellow stuff.
