... at the end of a LONG evening when everyone had gone home.
.
My friend and I were both the kind of people that never wanted a party to stop (I met an eventual best friend
at HIS birthday party, where he first knew me as "the guest who never leaves&quot . His wife was the last holdout,
but eventually she gave up and went to bed.
.
He and I stayed up drinking and talking and reminiscing for a LONG time. When his wife came down in the
morning, she found us both under their dining room table.
.
We hadn't the foggiest (good word for this event) idea what we were doing there. Nearest we could figure
out, we had gone into camping-out mode or, better yet... we had declared it a "fort".
