Recently I was told I have a tumor on my parotid salivary gland....
Wonderful.
My ENT doc said he would have it biopsied so we would know what we're dealing with.
That happened last week..........and now I know.
Celebrate with me!

I kept thinking that my life was about to change and in a very bad direction...
And now it's over, poof, gone!

(17,742 posts)I've gone through a similar scare and overnight, everything changed. Everything.
And then again when I found out it was nothing. Everything changed again.
Just when you think life has no surprises left, or that you know how you'll react to anything, good or bad.

(5,141 posts)With all the bad news of the last week or so, I really needed some good news!!!
Its funny, isn't it, when we have a scare like that, how your whole perception of the world and life and the impermanence of everything just hits ya right in the kisser. The key is to really hold on to that feeling, because it brings a fullness into your life that is a hedge against taking things for granted. Not that YOU would, you're not at all that type, but at the very least it does bring another dimension of gratitude that is otherwise missing.
YAY!!!! I'm so happy for you, your family, and all of US!
Edited because my brain works faster than my fingers and I left out a few essential words (lack of sleep will do that to ya...)
