Had dinner at a somewhat upscale restaraunt last Thursday.

Everything was served Tapas-style.

Had scallops for the first time. I'm not much of a seafood man, but they were very good.

Had crayfish fritters and mini empanadas. Quite tasty.

Deep fried beer battered asparagus. Man. Talk about a great way to get kids to eat their vegetables.

Cumin spiced fresh cut french fries. Shame they didn't have malt vinegar.

And the mashed potatoes. Man.... Pure heaven.

and a very interesting martini made with Wasabi-infused vodka.

Granted it was the most I've ever spent on a meal in my life, but going in a big group, it was worth it!

There is a thing in my city called restaurant week. Many of the fancy, expensive restaurants have special three course dinners for $35. I think three course lunches are $28. Every January and June, My friends and I put on pretty dresses and indulge in a lovely meal. We try a different restaurant each time. When we are feeling rich, we try two restaurants on two different days. One for lunch and one for dinner.

Your dinner sounds good. Now I'm hungry.
