but, she has her ups & downs in the coming 10 episodes.

They seemed to have dropped the Ser Dontos bit, though. If you remember last year, Ser Dontos was the guy who was drunk at Joffrey's name day tournament and Joff - in his infinite wisdom - was going to have the guy killed, but Sansa said the guy was a fool, and Joff made him his fool...

In the books, Dontos plays an important role. He's not been in the TV show since, though.

I think you were the one that told me that she was married off to Tyrion. I think I can see the political reason for that after the Eunuch spoke to Dame Diana Rigg. If Sansa is married, then Little Finger can't use her.

swipe below for spoilers -

[font color=white]
If Sansa is married to Loras Tyrrell - like Maraery said - she would be a Tyrrell and Loras would also be second in line to Winterfell after Robb Stark (by his marriage to Sansa). This is assuming that Bran & Rickon are dead.

However, if Tyrion married Sansa, then Sansa would be a Lannister and Tyrion would be second in line to Winterfell, after Robb Stark.

Whoever had Winterfell would be very powerful because they would have the North behind them if it ever came down to Lannister vs Tyrrell.

A bargaining chip for the Lannisters, a pawn in whatever Littlefinger is planning, and Tyrell/Varys pulling in another direction.

Not to mention a Stark led rebellion in the North in part to get her back to her family.

And poor Sansa is both powerless and clueless as to how many strings are pulling her.

But, now the secret is out that Bran and Rickon are not dead. And there are people who know that Sansa's sister is alive too.

and, Craster drew his axe on the NW guys when one of them called him a bastard... then, the guy repeated himself, and added in "daughter fucking" on top of it, and Craster lunged, and got stabbed and killed when the guy pulled his knife. Mormont then drew steel on the guy and got killed. Sam ran and fled with Gilly and her son.

The men of the Night's Watch elect their own leaders by secret ballot. Not sure if they've been mentioned at all, but the two men that head the other two manned forts on the Wall (The Shadow Tower & Eastwatch by the Sea) are the two most likely candidates.

42. Castle Black is the "main" castle on the Wall
Mon Apr 22, 2013, 10:21 AM
Apr 2013

The huge wall of ice was built thousands of years ago by Brandon "The Builder' Stark to protect humankind from The Others/White Walkers. It is 700 feet tall and 100 leagues, or 300 miles, long.

There are 19 castles along the wall, only 3 of which are currently in use - Castle Black, which has about 500 men, and the other two castles (The Shadow Tower and Eastwatch) have the other 500. (Less the 200+ killed at the Fist of the First Men). In the past, more castles were manned and the NW had upwards of 10,000 men instead of the current 1,000. Over the last several hundred years, though, the number of men and the number of castles used has dwindled.

The number of men at each castle could differ on the show, as they often use smaller numbers (Tormund was told to take 20 men to climb the wall on the show - the book number of climbers was over 100...)

Mon Apr 22, 2013, 09:50 AM
Apr 2013

He left Winterfell when the rebellion started and returned home to his father, Lord Balon Greyjoy, who ridiculed his loyalty to the Starks, so he betrayed them and joined the fight against the North. He invaded Winterfell and killed/burned two children, then pretended they were the Stark children to wield power over the residents.

He controls Winterfell for a short time, but is then betrayed by his own men, imprisoned and tortured after Stark's men retake it.

I think he was made to believe he was being rescued to get a confession out of him about the Stark children. It was all a set up.
