(26,602 posts)and turtle-neck thing is awesome, but I think those pants are going to cost him.
(With that said, I am invariably 100% exactly wrong in guessing how the judges will react. Except that I know they will inevitably use both "too commercial" and "not commercial enough" in the same show... )

(53,027 posts)but I believe she is much better at textile design than silhouette. Her other problem is that Nina HATES her. Of course we have yet to see most of their designs.

I just don't understand why the best designers suddenly go flat right before the finish line. It won't be the first time it happened.

(53,027 posts)She wasn't all along, but she's picked up toward the end of the competition. Daniel and Stanley fell flat. Why do people think they can create all black collections? It doesn't make sense to me.

(16,334 posts)There's no way the headpiece would fit! But I liked that dress even before she added more of the other pieces.
Michelle's pieces were pretty flawless. They aren't my style but I respect what she puts into them.

(46,698 posts)The problem I have with Patricia is, that if the blue dress is the best she has, then she is going into the competition without the element of surprise. If the rest of her pieces are in different directions, the judges won't pick her.
Michelle's collection is strong and well made. It is definitely showing her talents as a designer. I have seen these judges pick winners whose clothes I didn't care for, but who repeated the same design style over and over again. (A designer with a strange wave in the skirt, which I would never wear in a million years, comes to mind.)
This "strong design" concept is important to these judges. Take Anya for instance. She pulled a win out of her ass just in the time it took to show the judges what she had, and adjusted before the final competition.

(16,334 posts)they way you could see it Michelle's outfits. I have been freaked out by some of Patricia's stuff but I liked her work this week.

(46,698 posts)Once she finds something that appeals to the masses she will have a major impact on fashion.

(53,027 posts)Really badly. I'd take the compass off though and put on a nice pendant instead.

(22,057 posts)win. But Stanley in my humble opinion has a decent aesthetic and has really amazing sewing skills. Michelle is brilliant and her vests rock but how far can that take her. Patricia is a genius in her own right but her clothes would be god-awfully expensive to produce for the masses. Hard to see how she could pull it off.
I honestly like all three but hope Stanley wins. He's awkward and really talented.

(16,327 posts)unless Patricia pulls her varied looks together or Stanley loosens up -- his work is elegant but too "tight". I do love Michelle's work -- I would wear just about anything of hers I've seen so far.

(29,643 posts)close between Michelle and Stanley, but Michelle will win. Love Project Runway, except it could go back to an hour show and I think I'd like it better. An hour and a half is to long with ALL the commercials, even though I DVR it. Ugh..... so many commercials.
