Back in the day, I had a girlfriend drag me to a Guess Who concert, I was not a fan of them at the time. Big mistake on my part because they were incredible in a Live show. They came back through town a couple of years later & I saw that show too. The girlfriend had moved on, The Guess who was even better the second time I saw them.

And even though I was pissed about the lyrics, I remember well how the Yanks acted like such idiots in Canada waiting out the Vietnam war. So that was his motivation. But as an American woman, I didn't appreciate getting thrown under the bus for causing the whole thing!

Who knows what they really meant, but I saw Burton Cummings in an interview on tv one time & the American Woman was the statue of Liberty & the Hypocrisy of the American Government at the time. However I like your rant. We need more ranting.
