Also, that it was not such a good thing because children were free to attend the marathon since they weren't in school.

Bad news is, that if she doesn't call back within the hour I will probably start breaking out in a sweat.

at least from the current reporting, so if she is delayed it is probably only traffic.

The finish line is to the left of this pic, I was in the building behind the church, midway up.

I missed your earlier post... As a parent I would have been agonizing right along with you. Here's hoping she continues to remain safe, and you can hang onto your sanity until this has passed.

If they are on the run, who knows where they'll turn up so be aware of the people around her.

the young can be oblivious to their surroundings. I will be thinking of both of you until you know all is perfectly well.

One day, back in 1996, I cancelled a morning appointment in Brussels, from which I would have returned to Düsseldorf on the early afternoon commuter plane. Instead, my wife had promised to take our daughters and some of the their friends (ages 11 to 13 at the time) to an amusement park in Holland. I volunteered to drive, cancelled Brussels, and put it off a day. That afternoon, right at the time I should have been in the customs area of the airport, a fire broke out in the arrivals area, burning up much of the electrical wiring, and setting free so much dioxin that nearly twenty people died on the spot. Had I been there that day, I might well have been one of them.

Never EVER frown on fate when it smiles on you!
