Answer #1: The Hooters was the opening band in Philly for the first of (far too many)...

So random, but when I was about 5 my aunt happened to have a couple Hooters LP's.

which didn't bother me as I wasn't impressed by ANY band whose signature instrument was the
recorder (we also missed Santana, which DID bother me as it turns out to have been my only
opportunity to see them ever, but got to see The Clash -- who kicked the biggest fucking ass of
all -- including The Who).

They're one of the first bands I can remember liking. Right now I'm listening to 'Nervous Night' for the first time in close to a quarter-century, on Spotify this time...
