A good solar storm a couple of days ago could result in great auroras tonight and tomorrow night. I'm happy to say that it's very clear here and probably will be tomorrow night, as well. We're heading out after midnight to get some pics hopefully.


****Where is the aurora predicted to be seen?

If you have clear weather you may see the aurora in...... the entire state of AK including Southeast and Kodiak. Canada. Upper USA which may include ME, VT, PA, OH, NY, MN, WI, MI, ND, MT, ID and possibly the states surrounding.

We can't get an aurora forecast that far out. It's getting pretty light by then, so this month is probably the last best time to see them without interference from the sunlight just below the horizon. October-November and March-April are usually the best months.
