I am not talking about the cliche staples - bell bottoms, leg warmers, jelly shoes, neon everything etc - just something that you loved to wear or wish would come back.
For me it was Coca-Cola shirts in the 80's. I collected Coke stuff at the time, so these came out at the right time - I was in high school and wore out my Coke shirts
Sigh - I miss them

(7,515 posts)Usually a knit fabric, they hugged every curve and because they snapped at the crotch they stayed put when you wanted them to... and didn't when you didn't want them to!

(1,805 posts)about those. I loved them at the time. They're bound to come back one of these days, in one of those cyclical things. Wasn't that the 80s? I remember a too tight black one I wore when I dressed up as a leopard (or something) for an office party.

(7,515 posts)and they were around for a long time...so perhaps into the early 80s. I had one I bought in 2000, but it wasn't the knit variety and wasn't as comfortable.

I have the Blackhawks version. It's nearly 30 years old. I would love a Cubs jacket.

(21,020 posts)but my great love when I was a kid was those big, fluffy, lacy, bouffant petticoats under my dresses.
And when I was a teenager I loved the wrap around skirts

(3,702 posts)I was plus sized, but healthy...but constant low self esteem spiraled into obesity. I wish I could go back and tell my teenage self I was beautiful!

had to play for both sides ----eventually people figured the dress code was bullshit around 1966 or so and there was a truce for a few years .
