I've get the first 2 verses
But what are they saying in the 3rd verse?
The Vandals - Ape Shall Never Kill Ape
(Verse 1)
Just a grunt in a bind in his homeland
Taking orders from a very very bad man
Just yer average Dieter, Helmut, or a Bertrand
I can waste him 'cause I know I never never shook his hand
Killed by a hero, what are we supposed to do?
(Verse 2)
Just a loser with a girlfriend getting fat and
Participation in a very very bad plan
In a nation where the bastards are the unplanned
We can waste it cuz it's such a teeny tiny hand
Killed by procedure, what are we supposed to do
(Chorus)
And Cornelius says
Ape shall never kill ape
I say wouldn't that be great?
But some apes, they gotta go
We kill the ones that we don't know
(Verse 3)
Not a nobody, an actual American
Beaten silly by another Jody Foster fan
Spend a fortune to debate the moral conflict and
He's protected though it's obvious he killed a man
Killed by the system, what are we supposed to do?
(Chorus)
And Cornelius says
Ape shall never kill ape
I say wouldn't that be great?
But some apes, they gotta go
We kill the ones that we don't know

(72,300 posts)Ape shall never kill ape
I say wouldn't that be great?
But some apes, they gotta go
We kill the ones that we don't know
Cornelius didn't want senseless killing.
I still assert that this is against war.

(35,267 posts)The 2nd verse is about abortion
But the 3rd verse seems to fall into the pro-choice trap of supporting the death penalty
the author seems upset that the killer is protected by the system
but then he says killed by the system
I can't quite get what he is saying

(72,300 posts)Not a nobody, an actual American ... Regan fits here.
Beaten silly by another Jody Foster fan ... Hinckley
Spend a fortune to debate the moral conflict and
He's protected though it's obvious he killed a man
Killed by the system, what are we supposed to do?
The question: what or who was killed by the system.
At the conclusion of his trial--during which the defense showed Taxi Driver to bolster its case--Hinckley was found not guilty by reason of insanity. He was confined to St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, D.C., and has remained there ever since. The case led to legislation limiting the insanity plea in several states and, 12 years later, to the signing of the Brady Bill, which required a waiting period and background check on people wishing to purchase a handgun.
