(10,129 posts)I had just turned 40 that january, and he had just turned 39. I remember telling my wife, when I was a kid, whenever we saw my grandparents (God, they seemed so old even then... ), they were always talking about friends who had just recently passed, or were terminally sick... and I was saying, "Man, I'm too fucking young to start having these conversations with my friends ". Now, as time goes by, I think we're all too fucking young for that. My condolences, and may she rest in peace.

(53,061 posts)Just the other day I went to an alum website that showed my class had 17 classmates no longer with us while the years around us all had 5. I don't know if we had more deaths or more people in contact with updating the site.
Its funny how some pictures are so engaging and Sandy's is so engaging in a natural way. Anybody would have wanted to be friends with her. Sorry she is gone. May her passing help you appreciate those around you even more.
