Is Night Court responsible for my insomnia?

I've found a website that streams episodes of Night Court. I can't believe how much I remember from some of these 20+ years later. Anyway, I wonder if my fascination with this show as a child is part of why I can never sleep at night. I know that part of me not being able to get to sleep is thinking that something could happen at any moment. Strangely, I don't think that during the day when far more things do happen, because what happens during the day seems so normal and predictable.

She was one of my first crushes, even before Janine Turner (yes, I know she's a crazy Republican) on Northern Exposure.

She did a guest spot on 'Cheers' in which she was smoking, raging hot. But in 'Night Court', she was only cute.

I had a huge crush on Ellen Foley. She had great legs, and I loved her raspy tough-girl voice.

... but, other than work, I spent most of my time in bed healing up (non-weightbearing).
.
Thursday nights were my stoner night. I think NBC had an incredible comedy line-up of
M.A.S.H., Barney Miller(?), something else hilarious, and Night Court.
.
I'd smoke a joint and lay there and escape into those comedies for two hours each week,
just laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing.
.
Followed by the great and, for its time, innovative Hill Street Blues.
