(549 posts)I'm up all night studying at UMass (in Amherst, MA) and there was a loud thunder-like noise around 4:30. It went on for about 2 minutes but it wasn't thunder. No one is outside pushing anything.

(28,749 posts)Thunder... Ish. Then I woke up but it was incredibly loud thunder and I felt like I was moving but it could have just been because I was startled?

(205,202 posts)We did have an earthquake here quite a few years back and my dog then acted completely differently. He ran into my room, visibly trembling, and came right over to my bed. It was then I felt it, grabbed him and got into the closet. It was confirmed as an earthquake the next day.
This was just a loud noise...
