(12,118 posts)I looked at the aeropress online, but i don't want to use disposable filters, so I will skip that.

(27,677 posts)The only down side is clean up. When I'm finished, I add a little hot water to the old grounds in the bottom. Not much, just an inch or two. Just enough to swirl the grounds around and get them suspended. Then I pour it all into a paper towel in a colander in the sink. The paper towel catches most of the grounds which can then be disposed of in the trash.

(36,814 posts)The Aeropress is designed for making one large or two polite cups. It's a nice little coffee making device. There's lots of videos on the youtubes about it.

(36,814 posts)Right now I'm doing a South American coffee exploration, but in general I favor high altitude African coffees.

(59,940 posts)but my usual rotations include Kenya and Ethiopians, alternating wet and dry process (the dry process E's can be overpowering/too complex for some mornings!)
