Stand by me.

Stand by Me is a 1986 American drama film directed by Rob Reiner. Based on the novella The Body by Stephen King, the film takes its title from the Ben E. King song of the same name, which plays over the end credits.

Starring: Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, Jerry O'Connell & Kiefer Sutherland.

Great novella by Stephen King. I don't usually like books that are made into movies, however this one was one of the best!

The top 2 for me (movies). Shawshank and Stand by Me...

Then, It and The Stand.

You are right, Pet Cemetery was weak.

I read Heart Shaped Box, and Devil In a Blue Dress.

The publisher's were keeping his identity under wraps, but it was leaked. I found out about him over a year ago. Google him, he looks just like his father!

Read just recently his other son is writing too! Wow!

I knew it was one of them and googled Corey Feldman...it came back with dead at 38...That is the first time I've ever had that happen! Your post triggered the memory of Haim's death and Feldman speaking about him dying broke and alone.

Thanks...

Except for his Dark Tower series, which I did not like, I have read them all. Many times.

For a horror story writer, he has a dry wit.

It's ok, HarveyDarkey, you have a right to your opinion here.

His words paint such great visuals... It's like the book is running through his head in the way a movie would.

Even more so for Dean Koontz.

I find that that's true for many American writers who grew up in the TV era (1950 and beyond) -- they write very visually. He also feels the need to build to a big finale and usually fails to deliver.

Still enjoy his books from time to time, mind.

Try it. You may never hear it quite the same way again...

Lyric's with darlin darlin removed~

When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we'll see
No I won't be afraid, no I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me

And stand by me, oh now now stand by me
Stand by me, stand by me

If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall
And the mountains should crumble to the sea
I won't cry, I won't cry, no I won't shed a tear
Just as long as you stand, stand by me

And stand by me, oh stand by me
Stand by me, stand by me, stand by me-e, yeah

Whenever you're in trouble won't you stand by me, oh now now stand by me
Oh stand by me, stand by me, stand by me

stand by me-e, stand by me
Oh stand by me, stand by me, stand by me

A prayer.
Aristus, Thank you for standing by them.
