wow, yeah it seems like you haven't been around that much lately. I know you enjoy facebook and I peek in there from time to time but I just can't get into it (I finally saw that you had replied to that image I posted, of course I hadn't looked back since that day )

I've got a lot going on offline...my PT for my shoulder, the skin cancer removal, another lesion on a salivary gland to worry about, and so on.

Facebook seems friendlier sometimes.

But you need to know that DU will always be my original and treasured online home. As long as I can type, I will be here...

Haven't talked about the other stuff...

I'll have a biopsy soon for the salivary gland tumor. 20% chance of malignancy. My ENT doc thinks I've had it a long time...we discovered it when I had a cat scan after my tumble just before my shoulder surgery.

Never a dull moment!

Good luck with all of it and I am sorry I missed it. I suspect almost everybody in the western part of the country will eventually have at least one skin cancer form, they seem to be very common - glad they got it.

No worries about not seeing my post over there...we all have things going on, ya know!

reminds me of a boring story. the ranch has participated with the Natural Resource Conservation Service (formerly the Soil Conservation Service) on some projects in the past, They help farmers and ranchers design, implement, and finance projects that help with land/resource management.

The guy that used to work with us had a good engineering background/education. You could tell because he would write up speck to several decimal points and have lots of instructions about materials and how to properly dig a post hole, that sort of thing. The problem was he was doing this for people that were used to doing everything by the seat of their pants and with a total lack of the kind of education that informs one that "you can't do that like that" - you know, like getting rid of tree stumps with old dynamite, or pulling up a windmill tower with a pick-up and baling wire. Poor Don, we never followed his suggestions.
