I'm a heretic, I know, but I wasn't a Matthew fan. Not a Mary fan, either.

I like the actor (if you haven't seen the BBC's Sense & Sensibility two part series, do find it) but the character left me cold.

Sybil, OTOH.... Good god, what a waste of an incredible character.

He relates to everybody. He was the healing balm of the family. He was so good to Mr. Bates and Tom Branson, with nothing to gain for it. Sybil had enormous promise. I adored her, but her character seemed like a side story to me. I wish the story had delved into her more deeply. I didn't get as attached to her as I might have over time. But I mourn them both and I'm not sure what to expect in Season 4. I am already tired of that 18 yo girl. If the show becomes her story, I probably will stop watching.

I wonder if the Sybil actress wanted out of the show? I know Dan Stevens did. And I am betting he will regret that someday b

Have not seen that S&S. But thanks, I'm gonna check it out. Hugs...tblue
