(26,117 posts)then he grabbed it, and now he's chowing down on it - and grabs it and runs if we approach. LOL
Should be good for a couple hours, at least (he can chew the cover off a golfball in under 2 minutes).
My favorite time is when he's sleepy & cuddly.

(26,117 posts)He likes pig ears a lot, but eats them very quickly now. We wanted him to have something that would last. I'm leery of rawhide chews.
Lost my Golden in Nov., and I love the puppy posts!

(60,010 posts)Same color, same curly-ish coat.
I am smiling for you knowing you have years of laughs and awwwwww with this breed.

(26,117 posts)My sister got a littermate - they both looked curlyish as pups - but hers has a straight coat now. I love those curls!
He's a little guy - much smaller than the last two goldens we had, who tipped the scale at 106 and 118 lbs. I think he weighs about 65-70. My sister's pup is kinda chubby, but Otis is svelte and very active.

(60,010 posts)I notice he has a blocky head, which is so coveted by British breeders.
I particularly like the copper red coat color.
This is our guy at 1 year:

(26,117 posts)Our last two predated the kids by a few years, so they only knew them as older fellas.
We lost one at age 10 from cancer, and the other at 15 from old age a couple years ago - it's amazing how you get used to the slow, sedentary lifestyle of an elderly dog - it was quite the readjustment to adapt to an energetic pup again!

(26,117 posts)It's finally getting nice out here - not so much MUD, which he loves. Our 12 y.o. son is looking forward to taking him on more regular walks again.
