(21,020 posts)one pedicure and it wasn't with the little fishies.
My very first one, maybe six years ago.
I'm soaking my feet in the tub of hot water. She's exfoliating, and I'm too nervous to be ticklish. Because I don't like the feeling of being "trapped" in the chair.
Anyway, she gets to the part where she's doing my toenails and drags the emery board or whatever across one of my nails, unfortunately being a little "off" and cutting into the toe next to it, which, because it's been sitting in hot water for a while, bleeds like the toe has been totally amputated.
I am blood phobic. Seriously phobic.
paper cuts make me woozy.
So I'm sitting there sweating buckets and trying not to pass out while fanning myself and she's applying pressure to the toe to get it to stop and all I can think of is, "OMG!!! If she lets up, blood it going to SQUIRT right up to the ceiling!!! AUGHHHHH!!!!!"
Finally it stops and I can't wait to get the hell out of there.
First and last pedicure.
My toenails can grow six feet long if they want to.
PS....fuck the fishies. Let them eat someone else's dead skin.
this sounds like a night mare... I like pedicures but I probably not go back if that happened to me... sorry about your experience..
