named Mimi. We had donated a small, floppy, shag scatter rug to her bed after the rubber backing wore off. I tried "falling down" in the hall and calling out, "Oh, ow! Help, Mimi!" She brought the rug and tucked it around my neck and upper back, while I tried to thank her without laughing.

Some people around here keep them with sheep to protect them from coyotes.
The neighbor behind us had one visiting and she kept barking. It seemed they had gone out and left her in the back yard. I looked over the fence and talked to her and she came toward me wagging her tail. I threw her a couple of biscuits and she quieted down. A very pretty, very large dog.

I dunno. But the Dr. Cat effect is legendary, hanging out with sick humans, cuddling up. So what that video shows is that the cat is too intelligent to be taken in by a human faking it. Dogs, on the other hand.
