I have no doubt that if cats had a concept of language they would consider "human" an insult.

BTW that looks like a Himalayan with Siamese coloring and eyes. Or is it just a long-haired Siamese?

13. That is a seal point Himalayan.

The breed was created by crossing and recrossing Siamese with Persians. Longhaired Siamese are called Balinese.

14. Hmm... I knew about the Siamese/Balinese thing.

And my 11-year-old cat, Bob, happens to be a (short-hair) Siamese mix - he has the black 'n tan coloring and the blue eyes.

15. I used to have a cat, Hamlet, whose mama was a blue-point Himalayan.

His papa was unknown. Hamlet was blue and white with no tabby markings and copper eyes. He had the typical stocky Persian body. His mom's owner said she may have seen the dad. If she did, he was a large blue longhair.

16. Yeah, interestingly enough, Bob's mom was white all over.

But her mother had the Siamese "look" - whether or not she was a purebred - so I guess it just skipped a generation.

17. Maybe she was an oriental shorthair.

They have that slender Siamese (foreign) body type and come in several different solid (self) colors and tabby patterns. Or maybe she was just a Siamese mix.

18. Actually Bob has a "normal" shaped body, and AFAIK so did his grandmother.

As I understand it, that's the "classic" Siamese as opposed to the "modern."

And I prefer the classic. They're called apple heads.

20. Yeah, people always tell us that Bob's one of the best-looking cats they've met.

I figure he doesn't need anyone to inflate his ego - cats in general already think very highly of themselves, seems to me.

21. I've got two girlfriends for him.

Brigid is black, and Ruby is black and white.

22. Unfortunately, not only is Bob neutered, he's also getting a little old and fat.

He is relatively friendly with other cats, though, so he might be down with a couple of playmates.
