Do we not all seek to be free? Do we not all attempt to fly before our time is arrived? These are the evocative and angst-churning existential questions Mork asks of Richie, of Fonzie, and ultimately of himself. And when like Christ, Mork returns to the earth, does Mindy now represent a different kind of human, holding a different relationship with the Mork that is within all of us?
Heady stuff, that Mork & Mindy. Heady stuff indeed.
