I know this is not a popular opinion, but I love April Fool's day.
I don't play pranks but I love the ones that Google does. Google Nose, that was pretty funny. And they added Treasure Maps to Google Earth, I think it was. Twitter did one where the vowels would cost you extra. The one for You Tube was that it was shutting down because it was just a massive talent show all along and they needed like 10 years to pick a winner.
And then there are the classics, like the spaghetti tree.
Some are dumb, it's true.
But I like silliness like this. All day long, though, I've been reading Twitter and blogs and all those people have been saying how much they hate this stuff. What a bunch of sourpusses.
I'm not talking about pranks where anyone gets hurt; I'm sure that happens, but that's not what I mean here.
And Netflix has some, well, unique categories.
