had one person on ignore years ago as dots then realized it didn't make the person go away and in real life I probably wouldn't have ignored them .

I agreed with the idea that I could just deal with anyone who got to me.

Turns out that's not true and when one person told me flat out he hates me and wants me gone while several others swarmed me for no good reason, it seemed time to put them out of sight.

I'm now up to 16 ignoring me and 20 refuse to accept my email.

These three hung out in the energy forum, calling them trolls would be an understatement. They would gang up on anyone who even breathed a word of uncomfortableness with nuke energy as the salvation to the world's energy needs. These three could teach the gungeoun masterclass lessons in rudeness which is why I put them on ignore. I suspect that the three of them are long gone or if still around they have switched names since the Fukishima tragedy.

There is currently one star member who has me on ignore. Not sure why and truth be told I find this bothersome. Like most folks, I just want to be liked so I am left wondering what exactly I did to get on this guy's shitlist. That said, if he was one of the three I put on it ignore then fair is fair I suppose. In my defense I am quite confident that I was not alone in having those three on ignore, they were downright mean to pretty much everyone that didn't see eye to eye with them.

The sky's are bluer, the peeps are sweeter
ever since you went away, my dear, ever since you went away.
The apples are rounder, my toes are fleeter
ever since you went away.
The sun rises earlier, brighter than white,
the stars are much twinklier all through the night,
dogs no longer poop now and skeeters don't bite
ever since you went away, my dear, ever since you went away.

Two.
Both of whom, while ignoring the points I was trying to make, and in both cases which agreed with or supported their own, instead attacked how what was said was worded, trying to turn my words into something they were not.Even going so far as to insinuate abstract meanings which were never expressed, implied or intended.

In both cases I went to their profile pages, and from there to other posts they'd made and found that with them, what I'd experienced was regular occurrence.

I don't understand why people use ignore for people who irritate, annoy or even enrage them. Years ago, on more primitive forms of unmoderated messageboards, there were sometimes people - probably kids - who would really disrupt. Not for the sake of stirring shit. Really, literally, just for the sake of preventing people from interacting and just to have fun. Ignore, if available, was useful for those instances. Nowadays, people like that would not be tolerated for any time at all on a board like this. It just seems like it would be hard to follow a thread if there was someone you're ignoring on it. If I don't want to interract with some posters I could always just ignore them analog style, but not paying any attention or avoid the thread altogether.
