Whenever I say teeter totter, it brings a smile to all of my friend's faces. It's certainly not an age thing, as I'm in my 40's. I'm also born and raised in NYC, if that matters.
I dunno, to me it just sounds so much better than seesaw.

SeeSaw seems to be an East Coast thing, although, Teeter Totter makes more sense.
Hmmm... another one is Cellar vs Basement.
East Coasters tend to call them cellars.
