That always struck me as a wee bit long in the tooth for the role, but then again Judy Garland seemed older than she was (17) as well. A different time, I guess.

"Only bad witches are ugly. Now, are you a good witch or a bad witch?"

You calling me ugly? 'Cause we can go right here and now.

Four things: 1)I still watch it on television every time I find out its being shown. 2)You NEVER need to ask me to take cover whenever they blow the THIS IS NOT A TEST tornado sirens, I'm terrified. 3)My car is named "Dorothy." She was my ruby slipper; I'd click my heels three times, and she'd take me where I wanted to go and home again. Also, in fact, DH thought of getting a silver model to be christened Tinman but did not. I'm sure Dorothy yearns to be a classic and wear vintage plates; alas, she's broken inside and currently stuck in Oz (aka garage). 4)Watch it, buddy, I have WoZ nutcrackers!

Another real life alternate ending:
I was so excited to be Cinderella in an elementary school class play. On the day of the "event," as I emerged from the cloakroom divider in the classroom without my glass slipper to meet my Prince (I admit to a schoolgirl crush on the actor, hahaha), I noticed that I had a new and gigantic hole worn in my sock. Prince was not impressed; after that, we never had a chance to live happily ever after.
