And you will have a pristine clean colon wall for the doctor to see if any stalactites or stalagmites are growing.. A good prep means a better diagnosis..
Just think how good the food will taste after the test!!

when my doc gave me an A+ for my prep work. I guess I like to be praised even it's just for pooping like a champ.

He said you wouldn't believe how many people he makes re-schedule because they did a lousy job.

And he found 6 polyps (all benign but I'm on extra watch now) so it's a good thing I did a good job.

Eat very light and low-fiber 2 days before, then clear liquids/jello/broth 1 day before.
My husband has Crohns and has to have a colonoscopy every other year (used to be annual) so he knows the drill well and it doesn’t bother him much. And all the foods we think of as healthy like kale and bran (high fiber) he can’t eat any time. He can have well-cooked veggies like broccoli and green beans, iceberg lettuce, and sometimes tomatoes. He’s lucky as many Crohns patients can’t even have those.

Everyone kept telling me the prep was the worst part but I wouldn't believe them. Boy, did I learn a lesson.

So, from one prep sufferer to another, good luck to you. And, start planning what real food you want to eat Thursday.

I found the prep to be way overrated in terms of horribleness. I kept thinking I was doing something wrong. I guess people are different. I had way more trouble after the procedure. I couldn’t concentrate, was depressed for several days, constipated...
